I was writing some example sentences on the board today and the English said "Which jerk took my sammich?" I realized that there's no Latin word for "sammich" and in a flash created the new word "PANIMENTUM" (panis=bread, suffix -mentum = thingy).
google translate how i love and loathe thee, look up what mentum actually means and it says chin, untill you look for the suffix meaning so could an unknown chinese object be a mentummentum ?
perna caseum panimentum
ReplyDeletei got to admit the word sounds much closer to the inside of an olive
Who says Latin is a dead language?
