I remember an old Dragon Magazine comic strip named Yamara had a dwarf fighter that was training up his much younger nephew and his friends in the delicate art of being an adventurer. The old fighter starts talking about how to grip an axe properly, when the nephew says 'No problem, we got this.' In the background these young dwarves roll in a bunch of huge barrels of gunpowder, which is lit and explodes. The older dwarf says 'Why'd you bring me along?', to which the younger dwarf replies, 'You've always been good with a shovel.'
